Principal's Message
The name Al Mawahib reflects something fundamental to our philosophy: every child possesses gifts, talents and potential waiting to be discovered and developed.
Our responsibility as educators is much greater than preparing children for examinations. We seek to develop young people of knowledge and character, confident in who they are, ambitious in what they can achieve, and prepared to make a positive contribution to their community and the wider world.
At Al Mawahib, we are proud to provide a British education firmly rooted in authentic Islamic values and the culture and identity of the United Arab Emirates. We believe that faith, knowledge and character belong together. Our commitment to the Holy Qur’an and Islamic values provides a strong moral foundation, while our British curriculum encourages curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, communication and independent learning.
We want our students to flourish in both Deen and Dunya, pursuing academic excellence while demonstrating integrity, respect, compassion and responsibility.
Our core values of Excellence, Innovation, Respect, Integrity and Collaboration are not simply words. They should be evident in the way we teach, learn, lead and treat one another every day.
I believe deeply in high expectations for every child. Excellent schools recognise individual starting points and needs while never placing limits on what young people can achieve. Through strong teaching, meaningful assessment, appropriate challenge and carefully targeted support, we aim to ensure that every learner makes progress, develops their talents and experiences success.
We also want our students to become thoughtful and responsible global citizens. Through innovation, technology, higher levels of thinking and meaningful opportunities to solve problems, we seek to equip them with the knowledge, skills and confidence they will need for further education, future careers and a world that is constantly changing.
Equally important is creating a school in which children feel safe, valued, respected and known. Safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion are fundamental to successful learning. Every child should feel that they belong and that there is someone within our school who knows them, believes in them and wants them to succeed.
Education is also a partnership. Parents are our children’s first educators, and the strongest schools are built when students, families, staff, leaders and governors work together with openness, trust and a shared commitment to improvement.
As Principal, my commitment is to honour the strengths and distinctive heritage of Al Mawahib while continuing to raise expectations and improve the quality of education we provide. We will remain ambitious, reflective and forward looking, learning from evidence, listening to our community and continually asking how we can do better for our students.
Our motto captures the young people we aspire to develop:
Global Minds, Local Hearts
Young people who are confident engaging with the wider world while remaining grounded in their faith, values, identity and community.
I look forward to welcoming you to Al Mawahib and to working together in nurturing a generation equipped with knowledge and character, confident in their identity and ambitious for their future.
